Hermione leaned against the white-washed stone walls. Her heart beat fast from dancing, and she felt light-headed, the crisp night air blazed in her throat as she breathed in great gulps of it. The grounds were beautiful in the fading sunlight, and from a trellis-topped veranda that ran the length of the building, she watched the sun set through the trees. Crimson and gold leaves fell around her, and most where caught by the tangled grape vines overhead, but some trickled through onto the porch floorboards to be blanketed in shadow.
